I was watching some YouTube videos yesterday and stumbled upon some from Nikki Phillippi, who is doing a video series this month on how to be happy {hence the hashtag #howtobehappyjanuary}. I thought this topic was so great because, to be completely honest, I am not the type of person that is peppy and bubbly and happy every day. I have bad moments and bad days and bad weeks all the time. But this year, I've tried to make it more of a priority to start seeing the good in each day instead of focusing on the awful and not-so-great things.

What's one way I've started working on how to be happy? Lately I've been putting on some music {current favorite song is "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry} in the morning and dancing around my apartment for 10 minutes or so. Trust me, a short little dance session can completely lift your mood... and get in a quick workout too!

  1. This is great! I've been following Nikki on youtube for awhile and I adore her positive energy. This series that she does is so cool. Did you happen to see the video where she got a Thai massage? I'm thinking I might try that too to lift my spirits. It would be a first for me :)
